April is the month that gives us glimpses of Spring, is one of four months with 30 days, celebrates National Poetry Month and Earth Day, and of course, April Fool’s Day.

Another special event in April that is no joke, is April in Carneros. One of two annual events presented by Hospitality de los Carneros, April in Carneros invites guests to visit select wineries for exceptional, fine wines in the picturesque Napa Valley Carneros Region.

April-in-Carneros

This year’s event takes place on April 18 and 19, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Over 20 wineries will each offer their own special activity to celebrate the weekend. Groups of eight or more should contact each winery to schedule a visit.

Guests will enjoy a variety of activities to accompany their wine tastings including live music, art exhibits, exclusive tours, food and wine pairings, the opportunity to meet winemakers and proprietors, and more. Participating wineries will also be offering special pricing throughout the weekend.

Here’s a sampling of what to expect.

Sunday only, the family-owned, boutique winery, Anaba Wines will offer tastings of their highly-rated Burgundian and Rhone-inspired wines. Enjoy a view of the vineyards while listening to live music by The Screw-Offs.

At the rarely open to the public, Adastra Wines, guests will sip Adastra Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Merlot, and Ed’s Red all paired with artisan cheeses.

Jacuzzi Family Vineyards will serve Italian Bruschetta to pair with their Italian wines. Guests will also be invited to taste samples of their fresh-pressed olive oils. The festive spirit inside their Gourmet Marketplace will be turned up a notch with live music.
