The Old World Inn
This inn combines the beauty of renovated antique buildings with travel value. It occupies six buildings throughout some of the historical landmark homes in Napa. E.J. Doughty built the first inn, and built his reputation as an architect by designing and building area churches and houses that impressed residents and tourists alike.
The main house, built in 1874, features two major additions. Behind it are two small cottages, built just after the turn of the twentieth century. Recent renovations have returned these buildings to their original beauty while endowing them with top-of-the-line modern conveniences.
The renovations included floors of tile, stone and wood, and beautiful moldings through the entire house. Each room features a fireplace, private baths, and a feather bed.
Dining options at the Old World Inn offer all levels of formality and intimacy including a wine and cheese reception. In the morning, you'll wake up to enjoy a dual-course breakfast made with gourmet ingredients and expertise.
