Alderbrook Winery wine

Most of the time, I’m happy leaving the winemaking process to the professionals. Every once in a while, I fantasize about making my own wine from delicious grapes grown in my vineyard. I don’t know how to grow grapes and I don’t own a vineyard. My fantasy does not include the reality of attaining the expertise of a master winemaker or the hard work and knowledge it takes to farm the land. It’s just a fantasy. I wish I could make wines like the inspiring, award-winning wines from Alderbrook Winery but it’s a lot easier to let them do all the work while I dream.

Lobster Feed at Alderbrook Winery

Alderbrook Winery is offering everyone, including dreamers like me, the opportunity to be a winemaker for the day. This year their 5th Annual Alderbrook Winery Zinfandel Blending Party and Lobster Feed will be May 8, 2010. Start the afternoon with a tour of the vineyard. Then, under the guidance of Alderbrook’s winemaker, Bryan Parker, create your own Zinfandel blend. Design your own label and enter the competion for the best label of the day. The afternoon continues with the Lobster Feed and prizes for label competition winners.

Call Lynne at 800-405-5987 extension 4210 for your reservations. Tickets are $85 for wine club members and $95 for non-members. A special afternoon like this deserves special transportation. Contact Pure Luxury to find out which vehicle would best fit your group and make your reservation for your private, chauffeured transportation.
