This year marks the 30th anniversary of B.R. Cohn Winery. This year also brings the first Summer Music Series presented by the winery. Launched in June, this series features a diverse mix of musical genres with monthly performances throughout October by local, Bay Area bands. This past Saturday, Dgiin, multiple winner of the North Bay Music Awards, took the stage in B.R. Cohn’s Olive Grove.
Paella and Plenty of B.R. Cohn Pinot Noir
Guests arrived early for the pre-concert Paella that was freshly cooked and served in generous portions. Others visited the Tasting Room to purchase B.R. Cohn’s award-winning wines by the glass or the bottle. Although a chilled glass or bottle of B.R. Cohn’s Rose seemed to be the most popular choice of the evening, there were still glasses and bottles of B.R. Cohn’s red wines, such as their Pinot Noir, and other whites in glasses and on tables. The Gourmet Shop was open and some guests filled their tables with fresh bread, local Laura Chenel cheeses, B.R. Cohn’s Pear Chardonnay Vinegar, prosciutto, green olives stuffed with Blue Cheese, and other delicious, award-winning gourmet foods created by B.R. Cohn.

Once the band began to play, their mix of musical styles inspired the crowd to leave their seats and dance! Most of the songs were sung in French and influences of Funk, Flamenco, Latin, and Reggae were harmoniously apparent. As dusk approached, the lights decorating the trees began to shine adding to the celebratory ambiance of the evening.

Upcoming performances in the Summer Series include the Vintage Classic Rock sounds of Crazy Famous on August 16th, Bluegrass and Folk by The Creak on September 6th, and Gypsy Swing by Beso Negro on October 18th.
