The Inn at The Tides and its Bay View Restaurant are located on six hillside acres in Bodega Bay on the beautiful Sonoma Coast. This year, they celebrate their 26th Annual Winemaker Dinner Series. January and February included wonderful wine and food pairings with Hall Winery and Kendall-Jackson Wine Estates. On March 16th, the Bay View Restaurant presents an evening hosted by Sarah Quider, one of the head winemakers for Ferrari-Carano Vineyards and Winery. Sarah Quider is part of the team of two head winemakers at Ferrari-Carano. She oversees Ferrari-Carano’s white wine program which includes Pinot Grigio, Fume Blanc, Chardonnay, and Viognier. Aaron Piotter concentrates on Ferrari-Carano’s red wine program.
Bodega Bay
The four-course dinner begins with one of the freshest, most unique, and richest Italian cheeses – Burrata. The outer part of a ball-shaped serving of Burrata looks like a ball of mozzarella. In fact, the outer part is mozzarella. Once sliced open, the decadent cheese and cream on the inside are gently released. The Burrata is served with strawberries, a balsamic reduction, vanilla dressing, and cialda (a homemade Italian wafer). This first course is paired with Ferrari-Carano 2011 Bella Luce, a delightful white wine blend.
The second course pairs the perfectly balanced Ferrari-Carano 2010 Tre Terre Chardonay with Dungeness Crab Risotto. The next course gracefully transitions into an outstanding Ferrari-Carano limited release red wine blend. Ferrari-Carano 2008 Tresor is a masterful, silky blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc, and Malbec. The 2008 Tresor is paired with Coffee & Herb-Rubbed Rack of Lamb.

The evening ends with Two-Layer Cake served with caramel, chocolate fudge, almonds, pralines, and whipped cream superbly paired with Ferrari-Carano 2009 Late Harvest Eldorado Gold.
