In 2005 during a phone conversation with my mom she asked me if I had seen a new reality show featuring actress, comedian, and best-selling author Kathy Griffin called, “My Life on the D List.” I hadn’t seen the show but couldn’t wait to see it. I was immediately hooked. Along with being extremely funny the show also revealed the intelligent, hard-working, and sincere Kathy Griffin.

Now, after winning two Emmy awards for “My Life on the D List,” Kathy Griffin is coming to Santa Rosa to perform at Wells Fargo Center for the Arts on January 29, 2011. This won’t be her first time performing at Wells Fargo Center for the Arts. In 2007 a lucky audience enjoyed her during a taped performance for her Bravo TV special from the Wells Fargo Center stage.
Kathy Griffin has starred in multiple stand-up comedy specials for networks such as HBO and Bravo. She has also acted in television and film. Her unforgettable role on the television show, “Suddenly Susan,” earned the attention and what would become the loyalty of many fans.
For the third time, Kathy Griffin has been nominated for a Grammy award for Best Comedy Album. Maybe we’ll be able to see the proverb “Third Time’s the Charm” in action.
