Lucinda Williams Performs at Wells Fargo Center for the Arts June 24, 2011

My first introduction to Lucinda Williams was in 1992. Her album, “Sweet Old World,” featured the song, “Something About What Happens When We Talk,” and my teenaged, pining heart was won. This unconventional love song focused on the regret of never having kissed someone who inspired romantic feelings by who they were instead of what they looked like.

Flash forward to 2011 and the release of Lucinda Williams’ album, “Blessed,” and the track, “Sweet Love.” This song celebrates love with humility, amazement, and poetic honesty.

“Blessed” offers a rollercoaster ride of emotions as each song presents a different story. Audiences are invited to experience Lucinda Williams live on stage on June 24, 2011 at Wells Fargo Center for the Arts in Santa Rosa. All in attendance will discover why “Blessed” has garnered more praise for the singing and autobiographical songwriting of Lucinda Williams.
