Sonoma County’s Rodney Strong Vineyards presents its 25th Annual Concert Series. Ticketholders will enjoy Rodney Strong’s intimate outdoor venue surrounded by lush vineyards, while sipping world-class wines, and listening to remarkable musicians.
The incredible lineup for 2015 includes jazz supergroup BWB, Kenny G., Kenny Loggins, Randy Newman, and George Benson.
Doors open at 4 p.m. with concerts scheduled from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Arrive early to kick off the evening with a Rodney Strong Vineyards’ estate bottled, vineyard-designated, crisp white wine, or a full-bodied red wine, available by the glass or by the bottle.
Both the vineyards and the winery at Rodney Strong Vineyards are certified sustainable and together produce many types of wines including Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc, and more.
Picnic baskets are welcome; and, Rodney Strong Vineyards will host a food vendor selling tasty items such as barbecued oysters and tri tip sandwiches.
This year’s series begins on June 20th with BWB – a group comprised of three extraordinary and contemporary Jazz favorites, trumpeter Rick Braun, saxophonist Kirk Whalum, and guitarist Norman Brown. The exceptional talent of each of these musicians creates an unforgettable performance not to be missed.
Saxophonist Kenny G. performs on June 28th. With over 75 million records sold, Kenny G. is the most successful instrumental musician to date, and one of the best-selling artists of all time. With a solo career of over 30 years, Kenny G. is a master at his craft and consistently dazzles audiences with his talent while capturing their hearts.
On July 25th you don’t want to miss this opportunity to see a singer and songwriter with a four decade career, 12 platinum albums, a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, a pair of Grammy Awards, and multiple awards for lifetime and career achievement. This incredible performer is Kenny Loggins.
Randy Newman is scheduled for August 15th. The early part of his career was notorious for his satirical songs. More recently, this songwriter, singer, pianist, arranger, and composer is well-known for his outstanding film scores. His accomplishments include multiple Oscars, Grammy’s, Emmy’s, and Academy Awards.
On September 5th, this year’s series ends with a concert by musical icon and ten-time Grammy Award winning guitarist, George Benson. Mesmerizing crowds for 5 decades, and earning the first Jazz Platinum Album in 1976, this living legend continues to present a phenomenal performance.
