Pure Luxury recently increased the frequency of our blog entries. Instead of once a week, we will try to keep you updated with a new blog Monday – Friday. Today we offer a few ideas of events in March in Sonoma Wine Country for the month of March. Make sure to subscribe to our blog for more events in Russian River, Dry Creek, Sonoma, and Alexander Valley.

Last week we dedicated a blog to the 32nd Annual Barrel Tasting in Sonoma County. This week we wanted to make sure to send a reminder to experience this special event during the weekends of March 6 & 7, 2010 or March 14 & 15, 2010. This is your opportunity to sample wines (some have not yet been released!) from the barrel. As the date draws near, availability to travel safely in one of our chauffeured vehicles with an experienced chauffeur has become extremely limited. Please do not hesitate to contact Pure Luxury. Our staff is available 24 hours a day via email, online chat, or telephone to secure your transportation.

How often do you use the words “pigs” and “pinot” in the same sentence? If you’re like most people, the answer is probably “not often” or “never.” Well, here’s your chance! Charlie Palmer’s 5th Annual Celebration of Pigs and Pinot happens March 19 & 20, 2010. Pure Luxury has learned that this year’s event is sold out; however, this is an event you should put on your calendar for next year. The entire weekend benefits Share Our Strength and Healdsburg schools. The event includes seminars, a Gala Dinner, and a competition of 50 notable Pinot Noir wines served with a wide array of pork dishes.

Another traditional event is the 20th Annual Savor Sonoma Valley. This event, presented by Heart of Sonoma Valley on March 20 & 21, 2010, allows you to sample wines from the barrel, while enjoying delicious cuisine, art, and live music. For tickets and a list of the 22 participating Sonoma wineries click here! This is another event where it is a good idea to contact Pure Luxury for a safe day of wine tasting.
