Kanye West and Kim Kardashian may think they’re cool, but when it comes to weddings, Sonoma County couples are cooler.

While the glittery celebs reportedly spent $30 million on their extravaganza for about 200 guests, savvy Wine Country couples have a secret: high-end but budget-friendly elopements.

Of course, these aren’t your grandmother’s elopements, when the young couple ran away, and married on the sly. These are well planned, carefully thought out packages like those offered at Sonoma Coast
Sea Ranch Lodge, for what feels like an opulent wedding, but for a much lower price tag.

Elopements also are popular since they are more private than large affairs, and can be held at intimate destinations such as Sea Ranch’s secluded property on Northern California’s rugged ocean front. The Lodge’s new, all-inclusive small wedding package caters to two to 24 people, with the backdrop of Bihler Point, a breathtaking overlook on the bluffs delivering a panoramic view of the Pacific Ocean.

And everything is included, beginning with a Sea Ranch wedding coordinator to pull all the details together, down to signatures like the bouquet and boutonniere. The ceremony is personalized, and hosted by non-denominational officiant, with a photographer
to capture the magic.

There’s more – a three-course dinner is included as well, held in the upscale Black Point Grill’s private dining room, complete with wine pairings and a
sparkling wine toast. Custom touches include a floral table centerpiece, the wedding cake, and commemorative champagne flutes for the wedding couple.

Then, after the reception, the couple retreats to a luxurious ocean view room, and enjoys a full made to order breakfast the following morning.

Just enjoying the Sea Ranch community is an experience all on its own – the coastal luxury neighborhood is renown for its futuristic home design concepts that at the same time reflect historical simplicity. Planning to enjoy the honeymoon is a natural choice here, with the bride and groom exploring the gorgeous hiking trails, beaches, and scenic ocean overlooks.
