Dining out is a nice treat, especially in Sonoma County where the local cuisine is stellar. Sonoma County Restaurant Week celebrates local restaurants by inviting guests to try three-course prix fixe menus at three different prices; $19, $29, or $39 per person. Over 100 restaurants are participating in this year’s third annual event from March 18th – 24th. View the list of all participating restaurants here. With so many delicious options, we’ve selected a few to share.

Dempsey’s Strawberry Shortcake

$19 Prix Fixe Menu

  • Bear Republic Brewing Company in Healdsburg
The first course offers a choice of soup or salad. Sounds simple. But Bear Republic makes it difficult to choose between four tasty options. Choices for salad are mixed greens or Caesar. Choices for soups are lobster bisque or their recipe for New England clam chowder. For the second course, once again, you’re confronted with four tempting options including ravioli, BBQ smoked chicken thighs, shepherd’s pie, or a salmon burger. Dessert is a little bit easier with a choice between a bread pudding with carmelized bananas flambeed in rum sauce or Mudd Pie.
  • Big 3 Restaurant at Sonoma Mission Inn in Sonoma
Following your choice of the soup of the day or a Baby Spinach salad, entree options include organic Butternut Squash raviolis or “Fulton Valley” dark roasted chicken leg served with roasted garlic mashed potatoes and vegetables. Dessert is a decadent organic creme caramel fresh citrus salad lightly sweetened with house harvested honey.
  • Dempsey’s Restaurant & Brewery in Petaluma
Start by choosing one of three eclectic appetizers then decide which of three entrees you’re going to try next; wood roasted slow cooked pork and fennel ragout over creamy polenta with balsamic glaze, Chili Colorado beef served with corn tortillas, or Portabella mushroom stack on a white bean salad with arugula. For dessert, options include creme brulee, strawberry shortcake, and chocolate cake.
