Pure Luxury continued to celebrate the season at the Holiday Party presented by the Sonoma Valley Vintners and Growers Alliance. Guests were invited to a new venue, The Barn at Tyge William Cellars, located next to Cornerstone Sonoma.
Along with festive decorations, guests were greeted with live music, Sonoma Valley wines, and tasty hors d’oeuvres prepared by Ramekins Culinary School. Bites included a decadent truffled mushroom crostini, triple cream brie with camelized pancetta, rosemary skewered prawns, and yam fritters.
As guests sipped and mingled, they were invited to serve themselves from the Farmhouse Artisan Cheese Station. Luscious and creamy cheeses included Cypress Grove Lamb Chopper, Laura Chenel Tome, Marin French Rouge et Noir Brie, Vella dry Jack, and Point Reyes Blue.
The Holiday Cheer continued to build as guests took their seats in anticipation of a delicious diner also prepared by the Ramekins team. The Mac & Cheese Station featured a variety of toppings including bacon, parmesan Frico, cracked pepper, and scallions. The Carvery Station included a perfectly grilled Pacific King Salmon, roasted pork loin, kale salad, and fresh baked bread.
For dessert, mini s’mores with house-made graham crackers, bittersweet chocolate with torched meringue, salted chocolate chip cookies, and gingerbread cookies. To go with dessert, there was a choice of coffee and hot chocolate. The toppings for the hot chocolate included fresh whipped cream, mini marshmallows, and crushed candy canes.
The joy of the season filled The Barn and was shared through the smiles and hugs passed between members. The SVVGA is a unique group of vintners, growers, and associate members committed to informing, educating and sharing with others so that all may better understand the Sonoma Valley grapes and wines that make Sonoma Valley extraordinary.
