The leaves are changing color. The darkness of night arrives earlier. The chill of Fall makes the body crave something rich and warm to eat. We search our cookbooks for delicious recipes for homemade stew, spicy chili, a variety of soups, and oven-roasted meats. We already know the perfect wine versatile enough to pair with whatever we choose: Pinot Noir, one of the most popular wines worldwide.

Exactly a month after the first day of Fall, the 8th Annual Pinot on the River takes place on October 23, 2011 on Healdsburg Plaza Square. Visitors will enjoy spending the afternoon in Sonoma County’s Russian River Valley tasting Pinot Noir from over 100 wineries from the West Coast. This special collection includes wines that cannot be found anywhere else except at the wineries where they are created. Local artisan cheesemakers will also be attendance to share their tasty creations that pair perfectly with Pinot Noir.
