Usually I like to share upcoming events on our blog; however, today I’m stepping into the past to share an event I haven’t been able to stop thinking about.

It was Sunday morning on January 9, 2011. The table was set, our display sign was up, and after sharing a quick greeting with other business partners such as Arista Winery, Wine Valley Catering, and Hyatt Vineyard Creek, we were excited to meet the brides waiting for The Dream Day Bridal Show 2011 to begin. Brides and their guests were greeted upon arrival at the DoubleTree Hotel Sonoma Wine County with complimentary valet service provided by CPA Valet. The spacious, incredibly organized layout inside the DoubleTree created a relaxed ambiance for brides visiting the booths of over 90 wedding vendors.

You read correctly – over 90 wedding vendors. I was married last September. If I had attended The Dream Day Bridal Show I would’ve saved myself a lot of time. I would have had all of my vendors set in just one afternoon. Vendors specializing in cuisine had plenty of delicious food and cake for brides to taste. Photographers showcased their amazing talents with beautiful wedding photography decorating their booths. More beautiful photographs were found by vendors sharing information on their venues. With so many resources for brides to choose from, The Dream Day Bridal Show provided thousands of dollars in prizes thanks to special drawings hosted by wedding vendors. There were also two amazing grand prizes.

The Dream Day Bridal Show presented a Beauty Bar where brides received complimentary mini makeovers and beauty advice from professionals. I had my makeup professionally done on my wedding day. If I would have received one-on-one tips from a professional, my wedding rehearsal pictures would’ve demonstrated the beauty skills I would’ve used for every special occasion for the rest of my life!

We chatted with brides who shared their engagement stories and their goals for creating the wedding they’d always dreamed of. We met a mother and daughter both getting married in 2011, two brides each getting married in 2011 who’ve known each other since kindergarten and will be each other’s maid of honor, and a group of bridesmaids came back to our Pure Luxury booth to talk about their bachelorette party while the bride was receiving her mini makeover!

Robbin Montero

The Dream Day Bridal Show presented two wedding planning seminars. Robbin Montero, owner of A Dream Wedding and organizer of The Dream Day Bridal Show, was the speaker of an “Ask the Expert” seminar where brides were encouraged to ask questions while learning about everything concerning weddings such as etiquette, saving money, and how to find a venue that is perfect for you. Chef Bruce Riezeman, Executive Chef and Owner of Park Avenue Catering, was the speaker for “Catering Tips and Trends,” where he gave advice and guidance for planning selection of cuisine for weddings in 2011 and 2012. Both seminars provided valuable information. Again I was left wishing I had attended The Dream Day Bridal Show before my wedding. I spent days on the internet looking for the information that these two experts presented in their seminars.

The Dream Day Bridal Show isn’t just a show – it’s an experience and an incredible resource. I suggest brides mark their calendars for the next Dream Day Bridal Shows scheduled for October 16, 2011 and January 8, 2012. The staff at Pure Luxury Transportation looks forward to meeting more brides at future Dream Day Bridal Shows and helping make more dream weddings a reality.
