Usually when one “forages” for food, the search takes place in a kitchen. For this special event, the hunt for delicious, wild mushrooms and greens that have never felt the touch of human hands takes place on the Benziger Family Winery property located on Sonoma Mountain. Led by Forage SF mushroom expert, author, and chef, Patrick Hamilton, and Chris Benziger, the hike takes visitors through the land that is carefully tended using Green Farming practices. Along with his duties as National Sales Manager, Chris also supervises Benziger Family’s ranch and the Green Farming practices that allow the property to thrive. After the quest for fresh, wild mushrooms, guests will enjoy a farm to table lunch perfectly paired with Benziger Family silky, rich, and complex Pinot Noirs.
