In 1994, when Racing Legend Mario Andretti retired after five decades with one of the most remarkable careers in motorsports, he had 111 victories in virtually every form of racing. During his prestigious career, Mario Andretti traveled throughout the world, sampling great food and wine. He knew that Napa Valley, a place he had visited frequently, was the perfect place for him to start making wine. After assembling a team of experts that included winemaker Bob Pepi, Andretti Winery was founded in 1996.

Andretti Winery inside

The racing icon, born in Italy, modeled Andretti Winery after an Italian village to reflect and honor his boyhood home. The 53-acre estate, located alongside a quiet country lane in Napa Valley, is dedicated to celebrating the Italian lifestyle with its award winning wines. Andretti Winery produces fruit-forward, food-friendly wines that can be enjoyed with a meal today, or tucked away for additional complexity.

The Winery, Tasting Room, and Villa are surrounded by the estate’s vineyards for picturesque views. The stone tiled piazza, charming fountain, towering Cypress trees, and twining grapevines serve to create a relaxed, Old World atmosphere. Along with a wide array of wines, visitors will find memorabilia from Mario Andretti’s racing career.
