Usually, the weather during April in Carneros is sunny, windy, and warm. There are plenty of photos showing groups of people without coats or jackets smiling, enjoying live music, and enjoying their wine and food pairings.
What is April in Carneros?
April in Carneros 2013 is presented by Hospitality de los Carneros and is one of two events held annually to raise money for scholarships to Santa Rosa Junior College and Napa Valley College. Almost 20 wineries in the Carneros region, located between the southern ends of Napa and Sonoma Valley, invite ticket holders to visit participating wineries to explore any they haven’t visited before or visit cherished favorites.

Recommendations
First, we recommend a good breakfast. Fremont Diner is located in the Sonoma/Carneros area and Boonfly Cafe at The Carneros Inn sits in the Napa/Carneros area. The event is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on each day – April 20 & 21, 2003. Second, we recommend packing a picnic lunch to enjoy at your leisure. Third, plan ahead. With so many wineries participating it would be impossible to visit all of them. Plot a course depending on your preferences.

If you’re interested in visiting larger wineries with impressive grounds and tasting rooms open daily to refresh your wine supply, make sure to include Cline Cellars, Jacuzzi Family Vineyards, and Viansa Winery. Or if you’re more interested in smaller wineries, try Enkidu Wines, Ty Caton Vineyards, and Robledo Family Winery.

Wineries Open by Appointment Only or on Limited Days
If you’d like to take this opportunity to visit wineries that are usually not open without an appointment or on certain days only, make sure to include a visit to Adastra Wines, Tin Barn Vineyards, or Talisman Wines.
