The logo for Clos Du Val features their iconic Three Graces. And like the Three Graces, Clos Du Val’s winery and critically acclaimed wines bring joy and a feeling of well-being to their guests. Founded in 1972 by the Goelet family, this family-owned winery has remained small and completely dedicated to making Napa Valley wines that capture the terroir of three world-class Napa Valley appellations.

Clos Du Val

Winemaker Ted Henry, only the fourth winemaker in the four-decade history of Clos Du Val, creates wines of purity and balance from grapes grown in Clos Du Val’s estate vineyards in Napa Valley’s Stags Leap District, Carneros, and Yountville appellations. The 150 acre Stags Leap Vineyard land is also home to the winery.

In order to produce the wines with finesse, complexity, and balance that Clos Du Val has become known for, their team uses a variety of efforts including restoring and modernizing the winery, harvesting later to achieve optimal ripeness, reducing crop yields, increasing dappled sunlight in the vine canopy, enhancing soil fertility, utilizing new filtration methods to limit oxidation, and much more.
